Neti Neti Meditation
Move beyond illusory thoughts and into tranquility of mind…
“We suffer tension when we stray from our own centre,” says Wendy Wood (Nandiva). Learn to think positively and constructively as you find inner meaning when you go within. A wonderful calming 12-minute guided meditation for discovering the inner potential.
Neti-Neti
The expression, neti-neti, literally means “neither this, nor that”. In the Upanishads, God is questioned by his students to describe God. He states “The Divine is not this and it is not that” (neti, neti).
Neti-neti is not a denial. Rather, it is an assertion that whatever the Divine may be, when we attempt to capture it in human words, we must inevitably fall short, because we are limited in understanding. Words are limited in ability to express the transcendent.
Pure beingness through the removal of falsehood reveals our true nature which is eternal, uncontrived, natural and innate. The spark behind the flame and the flame are one. The spirit which breathes life into the world at each and every moment is unending.
